If you own a Samsung device, you must be wondering when the Korean tech giant will roll out the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for your smartphone or tablet? If a leaked document is to be believed, we may know when the update will be available for your device. It also reveals which devices will not be getting the update.

Marshmallow rolling out to…

Samsung-Android-6.0-Marshmallow-update-roadmap-November

The document shown above was sent to PhoneArena by a tipster. The schedule reveals that the first device to get the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Its status is listed as “uploading,” and is estimated to arrive in December of 2015. In January of 2016, three more devices are scheduled to receive the Marshmallow update, as the update is listed under the “testing” stage. These devices include the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S6, and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. In February of 2016, two devices will be getting the Marshmallow update. These include the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, with the updates listed as “approved.” In March of 2016, only one the Samsung Galaxy A8 is expected to get Marshmallow treatment. In April of 2016, a smartphone and a tablet will be updated to the latest version of Android. These are the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

The following devices are still waiting for their Marshmallow update to get approval, which means it is yet to be determined when Marshmallow will be available for them, but are sure to get the update. Smartphones include the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the Samsung Galaxy A5, the Samsung Galaxy A3, the Samsung Galaxy E7, the Samsung Galaxy E5, the Samsung Galaxy J7, the Samsung Galaxy J5, and the Samsung Galaxy J2. Tablets include the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.

Sadly, the document also lets us know which devices will never run the latest version of Android. These include the Samsung Galaxy J1, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Looking forward to the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for your Samsung device, or are you bummed that your device will never run the latest version of Android. Let us know through a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.
